With her guitar riding shotgun, Brianna Lane traveled from her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota to the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. In 1998, shortly after she arrived, she found a love for songwriting and performance. Lane quickly became a refreshing addition to Asheville's rich acoustic music scene. She entered into the music scene timidly and through touring the east coast quickly gained the confidence to shine on stage. Venue promoter Sally Pomer comments, "Brianna is a rising star… she has a presence beyond her years."
Lane is best known for her sensual smoky vocals and her crisp guitar work. Lyrically she draws from her own knowledge of travels and relationships to create intimate portraits for her audiences. Her performances are a sweet blend of original tunes, anecdotal stories, and the occasional stupid joke.
In September 2002, Brianna Lane released her well received debut CD, On Rooftops, produce by Asheville folk legend, Chris Rosser. Fayetteville's Up & Coming Weekly Magazine hails on rooftops to be "a must have for your CD collection…a slice of pure, uncut, acoustic excellence." Lane continues to tour the east coast as well as adding performances to her calendar as far west as Colorado and north to her home-state of Minnesota. Her set list is growing rapidly with new and original songs.
Lane just recently released her second full-length album, Radiator, in 2005.
